mobile technologies

Today's PD session focused on the use of mobile technologies within the classroom. We discussed how we believe mobile technologies will be used in the future both within the classroom and at home.
Within our classroom we are looking at incorporate more frequent use of ipads. Some of the suggested apps we will look to investigate next term include: Elmo's ABC, Teach Me, Monster, Futuba and Art Maker.
Students have already shown many skills and a keen interest to use ipads in the classroom. Prep D are excited to continue using this engaging learning tool!

ipads!

The students along with the help of Jo have been using ipads in the classroom to investigate various concepts of storytelling. Using the app 'Puppet Pals', children enjoyed choosing characters, scenes, and creating plots! By moving their characters around the screen and making up character voices, students were able to record short animated stories! Prep D are looking forward to continue their work with 'Puppet Pals' in their next session!

Our first full week!

This week has been the first full week for Prep students! Although we have become tired, we have had lots of fun learning!

We have completed lots of activities this week about the letter B! One of our favourites was investigating 'bubbles'. We made our very own bubble wand and went outside to test it out!
We discovered that even though you can make your bubble wand in lots of different shapes (e.g. star, heart, square) the bubbles always end up round! AMAZING!!!
